A patient-ready page answers the practical and emotional questions people use to decide whether to continue.

Accuracy is necessary, clarity is operational
Approved wording can remain scientifically accurate while the structure, examples and explanations become easier to use. A good page separates study purpose, participation burden, possible next steps and clinical decisions.

Answer the decision questions
People need to know why the study exists, who may be relevant, where it happens, what participation asks of them and who will make the formal eligibility decision.
- Use one clear page purpose
- Explain randomization or placebo when relevant
- Make visit and travel burden visible
- State that interest is not enrolment
- Link privacy and official study sources

Test comprehension, not preference alone
Ask people to explain the page back in their own words. Misunderstandings are more useful than a general rating because they reveal where the journey can fail.
